Hello! Shark Soup anyone? Are you baffled? Well, this is not a joke, in a few countries, many people do eat Shark Fin Soup!
Sharks have been swimming in our oceans for 420 million years. When humans came around, they became a target. Fishermen hunt sharks for their fin’s high value. Ok, here’s the cruel part, fishermen catch the sharks, cut off their fins and drop the body back in the ocean! Like that’s the height of cruelty right there. The shark is later not able to swim and then dies of either the bleeding or being eaten by some other fish since they can’t defend themselves. In China, the “Shark Fin Soup” is a popular delicacy and is considered a sign of high status and wealth. It is now so much more popular for its value in terms of money. A single kilogram of shark fins can cost about $1,100! So this just makes fishermen catch more sharks and kill them for money. Another thing is that if the population of sharks is shaken even a little bit, the entire ecosystem could collapse. Approximately a 100 million sharks are killed each year and many species such as the Smooth Hammerheads are nearing extinction. Today shark populations have decreased by 60-70% due to human interference. Erasing shark-finning won’t be easy, but we can at least try and make an impact, that’s what this generation is for! Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #BanSharkFinning #Ecosystem #SharksAreCool

Lemme just charge my cellphone. Oh, wait! You guys are here already? Well, we charge our phones right? Why not our vehicles? Imagine if our phones worked on Petrol, Diesel or CNG. It would be sooo hectic. Why use Petrol, Diesel or CNG working cars?
See, we have electric cars. Why not use this boon. My dad says, “There are no electric stations in India so we can’t charge our cars.” But what I think is that if people don’t buy these terrifically amazing cars people won’t think of making electric stations. The first step would be buying these cars so there are more power stations. Enough of this charging stuff. These are environmentally friendly. Like no Petrol, Diesel or CNG so no more pollution into the atmosphere. (I am leaving a link so you guys can see how electric cars are economically useful, just a motivation for the adults out there reading my blogposts. Link- https://www.conserve-energy-future.com/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-electric-cars.php#:~:text=Electric%20cars%20are%20100%20percent,a%20healthy%20and%20green%20climate.) Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #GoingGreen #GoingElectric #BatterCars Weird title, huh? Well, I would like you to practice this phrase more often because you are likely to use this phrase in like 2050. What I mean is, by the year 2050 you are likely to buy a large can of air from the grocery store for 1,000 bucks. You would need to buy at least 10 of these daily. This means 10,000 bucks spent daily, 70,000 bucks spent weekly, 280,000 bucks spent monthly and 3,360,000 bucks spent yearly! Which is quite much for a single person.
This got me thinking, how the hell are we gonna get oxygen on Mars when we don’t have enough on Earth. We had enough oxygen on Earth before, duh, but we wasted all of it due to pollution. To sum it all up, let’s stop pollution, save air, save money. “The environment and the economy are really both two sides of the same coin. If we cannot sustain the environment we cannot sustain ourselves.” -Wangari Maathai Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #NoCannedAir #SaveMoney #EnvironmentAndEconomy Hello! I am back with another blog post, obviously. Well, who doesn’t love animals? I mean, they are cute, fluffy, and friendly. But, some people clearly don’t like animals. Not only the ones that kill animals for food but even worse of a crime is to keep animals in a legitimate prison. Think about it. When a person is kept in a prison or an asylum they practically lose their mind! These animals who can’t converse with us in a similar language are kept there, being starved most of the time and eventually killed due to starvation. What do you think the zoo people get from this? Well, it’s obviously money. Why would the zookeeper care if an innocent life of an innocent animal is taken? I mean if a human is killed and murdered people make a huge fuss about it. What about the millions of animals who lose their lives daily because of being kept in darn cages in super small areas restricted from their natural instinct of hunting and most probably starved to death. Maybe for most of you while reading this you may feel “How pathetic” and “How horrible” then think about the animals who actually experience this situation.
If you are like, “Neev, many zoos do feed their animals properly.” Yes, that’s true, some zoos do feed their animals nicely. But my point to argue is that these animals don’t get to hunt. Think of your favourite thing to do and someone tells you you can’t do it anymore, how’d you feel? If someone kidnaps you, takes you away from home, puts you in prison even though you have not committed any crime and you are asked to not do anything for the rest of your life, how would you feel? Not to mention being starved. I am guessing not so good right. So why give this treatment to our animal friends who have been on the planet Earth way before you have ever even existed. So I’d say lessen your trips to the zoo if not eliminate them completely. Anyways that’s it for me and I hope you think about this topic. Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 Hello there! Happy New Year folks! Well, today I have a New Year Resolution blog thingy for ya all! This personally is my new year resolution. Not only is this a resolution but also a big-big problem we have. It’s our meat-eating issue. I have a confession, I love meat. Like a lot. But recently I found out that’s not such a good thing after all. If you love meat and consume it frequently, I suggest you stop or lessen your consumption of meat. If you are like me and say “It’s just a little, it won’t make a difference.” Let me answer your question in a few points-
1) Say if the amount of grain needed to eliminate world hunger is 4 units, then the amount of grain needed to feed livestock is a whopping 76 units! 2) The herbivores we consume feed on grass, not trees. 3) Of all the mammals on earth, 60% are livestock, 36% are humans, only 4% are wild animals. Humans are responsible for this imbalance. Livestock is bred by humans. They are not naturally present in such large numbers. They are largely responsible for greenhouse gases which is a major contributor to global warming. 4) The Amazon forest is known as the lungs of the earth. Without it, we cannot survive. However, every single second an acre of its land is deforested to make space for grazing animals. 5) Humans have existed for 300,000 years. We started consuming the milk of other mammals only 6000 years ago. So you see, we were never supposed to depend on the milk of other animals. It is highly unnatural and unnecessary. Milk is baby food, not adult food. 6) Animals that we consume are raised in large numbers, in small spaces which makes them susceptible to infections and diseases. To prevent this, they are injected with antibiotics. These antibiotics enter our bodies when we consume animal products and causes antibiotic resistance. (Read about antibiotic resistance on google) It is a serious condition which can even make a small tooth infec fatal for us in the future. In the U.S. of all the antibiotics that are produced, 80% are injected into animals. Rest 20% are used for humans. 7) Chicken is injected with growth hormones to make them grow overnight, with sodium, and with antibiotics. If that still isn’t enough to convince you then think about it this way- 1) “If we continue on our current trajectory, 10,000,000 people will die every year from antibiotic resistance by 2050. That is 1 person every 3 seconds” - Dr Andrew Little 2) Since animal products are much fattier than plant foods, the risk for type 2 diabetes is much higher for people who consume animal products. If that still doesn’t convince you to eat less meat and you still really really want to eat meat, then there are many companies like Beyond Meat and Impossible Burger to satisfy your meat cravings. You can also think of it in this way, all the animals get their energy from plants. Chickens, fish, etc. eat plants and we eat them. We also eat plants. So in our energy cycle, animals are the unnecessary middle men. Anyways that’s it for me today and A Happy New Year once again. Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Merry Christmas Folks! So, while you all are busy gifting your fellow friends and family, have you thought of how much waste is gonna add up in the environment after jolly ol’ Christmas? I mean sure, you can gift gifts but they should be sustainable. Listen, all that plastic gift wrap, plastic boxes, plastic covers, etc., etc.
Anyways we don’t have an option, do we?... Hold Up! I do always have a solution. *drumroll* It is… Zero waste products! Zero waste products are upcycled goods made out of either upcycled plastic or other harmful objects or other sustainable objects such as bamboo. Many environmentalism websites or even particular shopping websites provide upcycled goods or gifts. Zero waste promotes a circular material flow that allows materials to be used over and over again, reducing the need for landfill space (That’s cool!). Through zero waste the number of toxins released into the air and water would be decreased and products examined to determine what chemicals are used in the production process. I am not trying to promote any of these websites which may sell this kind of goods but trying to promote these goods. So this Christmas is already over but please try to gift upcycled goods next year. Merry Christmas! Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #UpcycledGoods #SaveEnvironment #BeCool Hello everyone! It’s Sunday again! Wait, it’s not. Oh! Anyways since I have already gone through all that effort here is today’s blog. Well, my sister told me to write about it. It’s cutting down Christmas trees on Christmas. So well, we have fun on Christmas, give/receive gifts, decorate Christmas trees… Hold up! That’s where we go wrong. You see, we enjoy Christmas but what about actual trees. I mean, if you reuse your old plastic trees (Buying new plastic trees is not an option either unless your old one is ruined) that’s fine but, cutting actual Christmas trees and throwing them away each year is not good in my or I am sure anybody’s books. Look at this picture- In this one, the tree is beautifully decorated. Now, look at this picture- This is what happens to Christmas trees once Christmas is over. It is disposed of and ruined.
Christmas is about Christmas spirit afterall. And I don't think cutting trees is Christmas spirit. All I’ll say is, use your old plastic trees and ornaments instead of chopping new trees each year. Besides, Christmas is not about taking a trees life just to decorate it and then throw it later. So my advice is “Don’t cut a Christmas tree, you’ll be cool that’s my guarantee.” #SAVEOURCHRISTMASTREES Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #SAVEOURCHRISTMASTREES #BECOOL #DON”TCUTTREES Hey all! So excited to see ya all again! Well, today I am going to be talking about a good substitute for our good old foe, plastic.
So, I have been going to the shops a lot lately. And a disturbing thing I noticed was they were filled to the brim with a ton of… You guessed it… Plastic! I don’t blame these guys and I suggest you read what I say before you go about blabbering of and telling on them. So here’s the deal. I don’t blame them cus they have not done anything to get the blame. I mean yes, shops are filled to the brim with plastic, but if you think about they have no substitute for plastic. Like come on, they can’t use paper for durability issues, rubber or metal because- they are scarce resources and. Trees have to be cut to obtain rubber (which again is not a cool thing to do) and metal is gonna be over at some point, which would make all of us switch to plastic again. But hey! Is there a substitute for plastic? I have thought about it a lot but couldn’t come up with anything. So I would like you all to comment on a bunch of ideas and why we should implement them. Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. Be Safe and Have a Good One and I am out! Sorry if any mistakes have occurred or I sound rude. 😉 #Substituteplastic #Wecanmakeachange #Let’sdoit Hey! It’s my birthday! Now this regular 11 year old is a regular 12-year-old! Well, for today’s blog I decided to talk about fast fashion since we buy clothes on birthdays.
Synthetic materials such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon are somewhere around 60% of the clothing material worldwide. Out of this 60%, the most used one is polyester. These man-made materials are highly popular and usually chosen by the fashion industry because of their availability, durability, resistance, and affordability. When manufactured, washed, and worn, clothes made out of synthetic materials lose microplastic fibres that end up in the environment and duh, harm it. Plastic that ends up in the environment does not biodegrade, it fragmentizes into smaller pieces. These microplastics, called microfibers, are smaller than 5 mm and are primary microplastics, which are usually not visible to the naked eye. Primary microplastics are directly released into the environment as such, contrary to secondary microplastics which mostly come from the degradation of large plastic. Recent research proves that we are eating and drinking plastic and that plastic fibres are raining down from the sky. We breathe in plastic microfibers from our clothing, carpets, curtains & other textiles. So next time you wear those brand new stylish sports goodies, think upon these points first. Not only sports but also any other clothes with these materials. So before you buy check the tag on the clothing. Thanks for giving me time and reading this blog post. It’s me, the annoying guy! Well, today I am going to talk about plastic pollution. Well, I know many of my blogs somewhat talk about plastic pollution but this is completely dedicated to it. So the other day, I and a bunch of my friends went to the park and I was shocked to see just how much plastic there was. And as if the situation wasn’t worse enough, some of my friends were littering more. So me being the annoying person I am was thrusting the trash into their hands again. But that’s when I realised something. There was already so much plastic present, so my friends were like “There is already so much plastic, a little more won’t make a difference.” So if one idiot puts trash in a place other people think another piece won’t make a difference which is how many of our beautiful grounds turn into dumps and there is no place for animals to go, so they come into our societies or for us kids to play.
